The unique sound of Sebastian Venu combines his evident fondness and talent for wind instruments, with his love for the lush electronic groove of the synthesiser.

 

Born in Chile, Sebastian Venu began his music career playing a variety of wind instruments, when he realised he wanted to fuse his two great loves together; his love for the instruments and the power of creating live music for audiences, together with his passion for electronic music and production. It was this fusion that brought him onto the international stage with a growing following, playing in electronic events, festivals, and concerts in Europe, Chile, and Israel.

 

Sebastian Venu's passion has led him to work diligently on creating his unique music, with sets that take the listener on a journey through cultures and sounds, a journey of both the body and the soul.

 

Sebastian Venu's musical style incorporates a blend of musical traditions and influences from around the world. Constantly inspired by nature, with his Andean roots at the centre, and a combination of his great love for the ancient sounds of the Middle East, India, and Africa, Sebastian Venu, creates a unique live set each performance, modulating them electronically. Sebastian has a great passion for playing his instruments live, contributing to the unique energy of every individual show. These include a variety of sounds from his large repertoire of different wind instruments, such as traversal flute, clarinet, ney, and bansuri; combined with the baseline and his unique experimental electronic groove, create a one-of-a-kind, timeless, energetic journey, one which moves the spirit and the body as one.

 

Naga, Sebastian’s first EP, was released with Lump record in August 2022. Produced while Sebastian lived in Chile, the influence of his South American origins can be felt.

Sebastian released his second EP, ‘Oasis’ with the ‘Café de Anatolia’ record label in December 2022. This EP was made while Sebastian was living in the desert town of Eilat in southern Israel, and it features many inspirations from the Middle East musical world, as well as the desert nature influences on his sound. This EP’s music has an energetic atmosphere, touched by Middle Eastern sounds, which he reinterprets throughout his tracks.
